March 20, 1934 - April 2, 2018

Margaret (Sally) Ann Rogers, age 84 of Marshall, Arkansas passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 at the Hospice House of the Ozarks in Mountain Home. She was born March 20, 1934 in Viola, AR to the late James ''Jim'' and Freda (Rosier) Felts.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Gene Earl Rogers, her parents Jim and Freda, and one brother, James (Junior) Felts and sister-in-law Faye Felts.

She was a member of the Viola First Baptist Church. Sally retired from Marbax Shirt Company after 26 years of employment, and she continued to help with special projects for several years. She was a member of the Searcy County Library Board and was a leader in the board's decision to purchase the Hattie House, which is used for after school programs. She routinely worked the polls during elections in Searcy County.

She is survived by three sons: Dennis Cherry of Viola, Arkansas, Jeff Rogers of Marshall, Arkansas, and Lee and wife Sheila of Conway, Arkansas; three sisters: Peggy and husband Matt Hassett of Tempe, Arizona, Wilma and husband Neal McCandlis of Viola, Arkansas, and Kathie and husband Coy Stone of Viola, Arkansas; eight grandchildren: Cass and wife Tracy Cherry of Owasso, Oklahoma, Jessica and husband Dustin Shrable of Elizabeth, Arkansas, Ian Cherry of Orlando, Florida, Laci and husband Derrick Lyons of Conway, Arkansas, Matthew Rogers of Calico Rock, Arkansas, Lindsey and husband George Wallis of Big Flat, Arkansas, Jacob Rogers of Conway, Arkansas and Jordan Rogers of Conway, Arkansas; eleven great grandchildren, and seventeen nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas from 6:00-8:00pm. Funeral service will be at 11:00am Friday, April 6, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Viola, Arkansas with Robert Lash officiating. Pallbearers will be Roy Rogers, Rex Rogers, Ray Rogers, Kevin McCandlis, Andy McCandlis and Doug Stone. Honorary pallbearers will be Sid Lowrance, Larry Cotton, Ronnie Harness, Gary Williams and Bill McEntire.
Burial will be at Viola Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Viola Cemetery at 759 Hwy 223 N, Viola, AR 72583, Hospice House of the Ozarks at 701 Burnett Drive, Mountain Home, AR 72653 or Searcy County Library at 202 East Main Street, Marshall, AR 72650.

Sally was my big sister that I looked up to. I am so glad that we talked on the phone on her last birthday 3/20/18. I will miss my sweet sister, Sally. I will keep my memories of her in my heart.
