Lois Ellen Sedgwick Love
1935 2018

On Thursday, March 8, 2018, Lois Ellen Sedgwick Love, 82, went to sleep in the Lord from natural causes, at the home of son, Paul Love and his wife, Joli, where Lois had lived the last 13 years. She was born in Pasadena, CA, on November 5, 1935, to the late Ellen Rothrock and Kenneth Allen Christie. She had two younger sisters, Janet Christie and Barbara Christie, both of whom are still living.
She graduated from Pasadena High School and attended Pasadena City College. Later, she graduated from Riverside City College and worked as an LVN II at Loma Linda University Medical Center until she retired. In 1968, she married the ''love'' of her life, Newton Love, Sr., and together they raised a blended family. She loved to cook, sew, knit, and crochet and won several awards for crocheted afghans entered in local fairs. As a true ''Little Old Lady from Pasadena,'' she was a Tournament of Roses Parade enthusiast. Most of all, she loved to study her Bible and explore the historical timeline of Bible events. She could be found throughout her later years, memorizing Bible promises and attending, whenever possible, the ladies Bible study at College church of Christ, even though she could no longer see the printed materials due to a stroke and declining health.
She is survived by son, Brian Sedgwick, daughter, Crystal Andersen and her husband James, stepdaughters, Annette Hatton and her husband Joe, Priscilla Perkins and her husband Mike, stepsons, Andrew Love, Paul Love and his wife Joli, and Newton Love, Jr. Though limitations kept her from traveling, Lois enjoyed keeping up with the latest news of all of her grandchildren when possible: Kevin and Mareetha Perkins, Keith and Sheila Sedgwick, Paul and Ruby Landavazo, Christie, Cari and Cambri Love, and Eleanor Love. She also had several great grandchildren in more recent years. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Newton Love Sr., and son, Duane Sedgwick.
A Memorial Service is planned for Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the College Church of Christ in Searcy, Arkansas

So sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the words spoken at Revelation 21:3,4
“With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them.
And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away".
