LaFern King, 83, of Jacksonville, passed away January 14, 2018. She was born August 22, 1934 in Enola, to the late Barney and Willie Heffington. LaFern was a teacher at Dewitt for 15 years; and retired after 22 years at Pulaski County Special School District. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
LaFern is survived by her sister, Martha (Don) Walker, niece, Tammy (Billy) Estes, nephews, Jerry (Wendy) Walker, John (Susan) Walker, and Jamie Heffington; several great nieces and nephews, and many more family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, James E. Heffington.
