of Little Rock, AR
March 29, 1949 - January 12, 2018
Joyce Ann Cole Jordan, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, went to be with her Lord on Friday, January 12, 2018, at the age of 68 years. She was born March 29, 1949 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the daughter of Carl and Gwendolyn Cole. She married Clark Jordan on July 2, 1967. She enjoyed a thirty-year career as a telecommunications manager at AT&T/Lucent. She was a lifelong member of Ironton Assembly of God Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher and song leader.
She had a deep love for singing gospel music in church and at family reunions. She was an avid reader and found great comfort in studying her Bible. She naturally shared with others the joy and love that she found in her faith in Jesus Christ. She was a shining light to many, to whom she selflessly gave unconditional love, compassion and support. Family was her passion and delight, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her mother and her granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her father Carl Cole and her brother Stevie Cole. She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Clark Jordan; her mother, Gwendolyn Cole; her sisters, Lavon Dunlap (Wayne) and Deloris Palmer (Ricky); her brothers, Aaron Cole (Judy), Carl Cole Jr. (Marcia), and Travis Cole (Sherry); her daughters, Tabitha Jordan (Adam) and Christy Moore (Wesley); her granddaughters, Candice, Naomi, Nova, and Alexandra; and a large extended family who will miss her greatly.
The family will receive friends 3-5 pm Sunday, January 14 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 I-30 (455-5800). The funeral service will be at 11 am Monday at Ironton Assembly of God Church, 15722 Ironton Road, Little Rock. A brief graveside service will be at 11 am Tuesday at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 7401 Highway 5, in Alexander, Arkansas.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have known Joyce for many years in church. She was a wonderful christian lady. I loved to hear her sing. I remember when I was about 12 yrs old and I went over to her house with her daughter Tabitha. She made me feel right at home and treated me like I was her own daughter. I will never forget the memories. I am praying for the family.
I'm so sorry to hear of Joyce’s passing. Loosing a loved one is never easy. I lost my dad in 2010, and my mom in 2012. After my losses, reading Revelation 21:3,4 gave me real comfort. It says: And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. I hope reading these verses also give you comfort during this difficult time. GW
So sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the words spoken at Revelation 21:3,4
(3) "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. (4)
And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away".
So sorry to hear of your loss, Will keep the family in our prayers.
