Elizabeth Burgess Landon

of Conway, AR

June 17, 1954 - November 15, 2017

Elizabeth (Beth) Burgess Landon, 63, of Conway, was called home to our Lord on Wednesday, November 15, 2017. Born June 17, 1954 to Thomas James (T.J.) and Nancy Burgess of Greenbrier, Beth was a loving and caring individual who touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She is preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Ford Burgess and father Thomas James Burgess. Elizabeth was a very dedicated and much beloved mother, and is survived by her two children, Erica Walker, (Criss), of Louisville, KY and Aaron Landon, (Charlee), of Conway. She leaves behind two granddaughters, Rylee and Lia, and a grandson, Levi, as well as her brothers, Dallis Burgess, (Loretta), of Greenbrier, and Dr. Bill Burgess, (Cathy), of Charlottesville, VA.

She was the Valedictorian of Greenbrier High School's Class of 1972, received a Bachelor of Science Degree in General Science from the University of Central Arkansas, and attended the Master's Degree Program in Food and Nutrition at the University of Arkansas. She was a Registered Dietitian by trade and was the Vice President of Community Services for CareLink, where she proudly dedicated her service for the past 40 years.

Beth was the Past President (1994-96) of the Meals on Wheels Association of America (MOWAA). She also served as President Elect, Vice President, Treasurer, and Regional and State Representative of MOWAA. Beth was also the past Chairperson and Member of the Board of Directors of the Meals on Wheels Association of America Foundation.

Beth loved to travel and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Her family and friends will always be thankful for the gift that was her life.

Services will be held at Springhill Baptist Church (25 State Hwy 287, in Greenbrier) on Monday, November 20, 2017. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 am, with service and interment to follow. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to CareLink.

On behalf of the staff of the Center for Arkansas Legal Services, I wish to express our deepest sympathy for the recent death of Beth Landon. She was greatly respected in the aging community, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Beth touched the lives of so many people in this state and beyond.

I worked with Beth for over twenty years through Carelink as our two organizations provided much needed services to the aging population in central Arkansas. We were always very grateful for her support.

Our thoughts and concerns are with your family at this most difficult time.

Beth. God rest your soul. I have no doubt that you are with God thru Jesus Christ and enjoying your heavenly reward. I sure will miss you and I am so blessed to have been your friend and colleague for 20 years. You have touched so many lives in such a positive way especially the senior adults in the greater Little Rock area. You are a special person and I pray that your family will find comfort in knowing that you are at home.

I am truly sorry to hear that Beth has past. When Steven passed away, (step son) the Lord always reminds me of this scripture. 1 Thessalonians 4; 13-18.

May God bless and comfort your family,

Blessings,
