Billie Jean (Gray) Doyle, ''Grannie Bill'', 88, of Batesville, Arkansas, died Thursday, October 12, 2017, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
Born October 1, 1929, in Marcella, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Togo O. Gray and Moga (Hess) Gray.
Billie grew up in the Mountain View and Desha areas. She married Ernest ''J.T.'' Doyle on July 12, 1950, and they were married for 37 years. She retired from White-Rodgers Manufacturing Company. She enjoyed fishing, cooking for her family, family get-togethers and visiting and playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Billie was a member of Salado Baptist Church and she loved her church family.
She is survived by two daughters, Jill Dockins and husband, Tony of Batesville and Donna Doyle of Charlotte, North Carolina; two grandsons, Chad Dockins and wife, Misty of Cave City, and Travis Dockins and wife, Kimberly of Southside; six great-grandchildren, Travis Mitchell Dockins, Trevor Lee Dockins and Tristyn Michelle Dockins, all of Cave City and Harper Grayce Dockins, Paige Denise Dockins and June Allen Dockins, all of Southside; brother-in-law, Jewel Doyle of Hemet, California; sisters-in-law, Sara Lee Gray of Alamagordo, New Mexico and Virginia McBride of Batesville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest ''J.T.'' Doyle; and brother, Paul Hess Gray.
Pallbearers are Chad Dockins, Travis Dockins, Travis Mitchell Dockins, Trevor Dockins, Richard Hopper, and Sterling Wallace. Honorary pallbearers will be Conway Hess, George Ball, Norris Guynes, James Roy Young, Mitch Wright, and Jim Woods.
Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 16, 2017, at Salado Baptist Church with Bro. Barrett Byers and Bro. Cory Majors officiating.
Burial will be in Marcella Cemetery at Marcella under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
Visitation is from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 15, 2017, at the funeral home.
