Charles A. Easter, 91, of Batesville, died Friday, October 6, 2017 at White River Medical Center.
He was born November 27, 1925 in Burlington, Kansas and was the son of Elvy Daniel Easter and Robertta Belle (Wright) Easter.
Charles was a U. S. Navy veteran having served during World War II. He worked as a concrete finisher and was a member of First United Pentecostal Church (First Church).
Survivors include his wife, Nellie Louise (Beck) Easter of the home; sons, Charles Alan Easter of Kokomo, Indiana and Glen Easter and wife, Lisa, of Rogers, Arkansas; daughter, Carol Ann Harris and husband, John Keith of Gentry, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Other survivors include his brother, Floyd Easter of Kokomo; and two sisters, Mary Powell and husband, Hank, of Kokomo and Eva Brokaw of Batesville, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and two sisters.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Harris, Adam Harris, and John Keith Harris.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 9, 2017 at First Church (UPC) with Rev. Michael Parmley and Rev. Chris Hancock officiating. Burial will follow the services at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Monday at First Church.

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Easter’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Reading Rev. 21:3, 4 and John 5:25 have always brought me comfort, and hopefully will do the same for you.
