Durell Rickett, 87, of Conway, AR, went to be with The Lord Saturday, September 23, 2017. He was born January 26, 1930, in Mt. Vernon, AR to the late Richard and Alma (Taylor) Rickett. Durell was also preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Mamie (Reynolds) Rickett; grandson, Mark Davis; great-granddaughter, Juliet Pelham; two sisters; and eight brothers.
Durell was a faithful member of the Center Point Free Will Baptist Church in Vilonia. He devoted his life to his family and The Lord. Durell never met a stranger; he would make friends with anyone at any time. Durell enjoyed spending time with his late friend, Tommy Fowlkes, visiting and going out to eat but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Durell was loved very much by his friends and family, who will dearly miss him.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving family, daughters, Carolyn Smith (John) of Conway, Donna Gunter (Michael) of Oklahoma, and Rhonda DuPriest (Darrell) of Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Rebecca Pickett-Mongal (Jeff), Amanda Vaughan (Jeremy), Melissa McBride (John), Michael Wayne Gunter (Lucinda), Garrett DuPriest, and Megan DuPriest; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Friday, September 29, 2017 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 30th at Center Point Free Will Baptist Church in Vilonia with interment to follow at Beryl Cemetery in Vilonia.

Dad, I'll always miss and love you. You held the family together. I am a strong independent woman because of you. Wish you were with us but God called you home. I know Mom is so happy you're home.
