Lenora Furlow

of Little Rock, AR

March 11, 1921 - September 15, 2017

Lenora Furlow (Nana), 96, went to be with her Savior on September 15, 2017. She was the last of nine children born to James B. and Evalue Spalding on March 11, 1921.

Lenora was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church for 64 years, working in the children's department in her younger years. She loved Bible study and all the ladies in her Sunday School class. Her middle name should have been "go" because she never missed an opportunity to travel and especially loved the trips with the senior group from Immanuel.

She is survived by her daughter, Pat Ramer (Bob) of Little Rock and son Brad Furlow (Cindy) of Cabot. She loved and cherished her grandson, Stephen Ramer and her granddaughters, Kristi Sirola, Andrea Johnson, Lindsay Costa, and Stephanie Crissie, but her greatest delight was living to enjoy her 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be on Tuesday, September 19 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Immanuel Baptist Church, 501 N. Shackleford, Little Rock, and will be led by Rick Jaggers. Family visitation will be on the same day at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel area.

Memorials can be given to any of the mission outreach programs of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Ms. Furlow was a special lady. I am a greeter at Immanuel, and she came through my door every Sunday. She always required a hug and I was happy to give one. She had a warm spirit and was always a delight to talk to. Her patented reply was "why at my age?" when we would tell her to "be good this week and stay out of trouble". She loved to talk about her family and the trips that she had been on in the past - especially Hawaii.

I will miss seeing her on Sunday mornings, but I know that she is enjoying her reward in heaven. My condolences go out to the family.
