Gene William ''Bill'' McAuley, 63, passed away on September 12, 2017 in Valentine, Nebraska.

Bill was born in Memphis, Tennessee on October 9, 1953 to parents Bill McAuley Sr. and Sula Hobbie.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 43 years Diann McAuley.

Bill graduated from the West Memphis Senior High School in 1972 and attended the University of Arkansas. He was an entrepreneur with many accomplishments. His passion was inventing.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents; Ward and Thelma McAuley.

Bill also leaves behind his sons; Bill McAuley and his wife Suzy, John McAuley and Matt McAuley. Bill will be missed by four grandchildren; Mary Grace, Mailey, Max and Madison. Three sisters; Sula McAuley, Kay Raby and Linda Carney. Two nephews; Adrian Pardo and Drew Wilkerson.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests a contribution be made to the Bill McAuley Memorial Fund, c/o SunTrust Bank, Attn: Pam.

A visitation will be held on Friday September 22, 2017 from 4pm-6pm at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis.

Kay and I are so sorry about Bill. It's a shame it takes this to stop and think about the times we spent together, living large and enjoying life. If you stayed around Bill, he made sure you enjoyed life. You and your family are in our prayers.
