Betty Resimont Simms, 86 of Clarksville, Passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 at her home with her loved ones by her side. Betty was born March 18, 1931 in Clarksville to Mr. Arthur ''Doc'' and Mayme (Reed) Elkins. Betty Graduated from the college of the Ozarks with a B.A. in English and went on to teach Jr. high school in Lamar for ten years. She later completed her LPN degree through the Johnson regional Medical center and began working for the Jonson county Surgery Clinic as an office nurse for fifteen years. Betty was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church of Clarksville.
She is preceded in death by her Parents; Husbands Charles Weathers, Dr. Frank Resimont, and LJ Simms; her brothers Vernon, Bill, Robert, and Donald Elkins; one sister Violet Bynum; one grandson James Weathers.
Betty is survived by two sons Michael and Kay Weathers of Porum OK, and Dr. Jeffery Resimont of Clarksville; her beloved dog sunny of the home, three grandchildren Shelly and Kevin Farmer. Michael weathers Jr., Tiffany and John Vail; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 6:00 8:00 P.M. Monday, September 11, 2017 at the Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel.
Mrs. Simms funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at First United Methodist Church of Clarksville with Bro. Larry Kelso officiating. Burial will follow in the Nichols Chapel cemetery with Adrian Lasater, Hunter Lasater, Keven Farmer, John Vail, Dondi Elkins and Ronnie Peterson serving as Pallbearers.
