Doyce Treat, age 92 of Harriet, Arkansas died peacefully in his home on Cedar Creek on Friday, August 4th, 2017. He was born in Big Flat, Arkansas on February 9th, 1925 to Johnson Treat and Emmadora Freeman Treat. He married Ruby Preddy on July 8th, 1943 and to this union was born nine children. They enjoyed 51 years together until Ruby's death in 1995. On March 13th, 1999 Doyce married Madge Ratchford and gained six step-children.

Doyce attended the Big Flat Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. Doyce was a farmer foremost but also worked as a logger, factory worker and a fruit picker in Idaho. He was a hunter and a fisher of men. Doyce loved everyone and never met a stranger.

Survivors include his wife, Madge Ratchford Treat of the home; his children, Paul Treat (Cathy) of Springdale, Sam Treat (Giezele Berens-Vickers) of Landis, Glenda Baird (Roy) of Springdale, Vickie Cotton of Pea Ridge, Deborah Massey (Roger) of Bull Shoals, Donna McCoy of Harriet and Tracy Morrison (Lesil) of Harriet; step-children, Duane Ratchford, L.C. Ratchford, Janice Jones, Delora Barnett, Rhonda Brock and Sheila Ratchford; twenty-three grandchildren; thirty-seven great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; one sister, Maxine Pemberton; and many other family, friends and neighbors who will miss his smile.

Doyce is preceded in death by his parents, Johnson and Emmadora Treat; his first wife, Ruby Preddy Treat; one son, Joe Dale Treat; one daughter, Judy Archer; three grandchildren, Justin McCoy, Kim Treat and Johnny Archer; and twelve siblings.

Funeral services for Doyce will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 8th, 2017 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Allen Brock and Bro. Joe Reece officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM Monday, August 7th, 2017 in the Chapel. Burial will be in Big Flat Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Curtis Morrison, Randall Tyler, Trampis McCoy, Dwayne Archer, Jim Preddy and Gerald Preddy. Honorary pallbearers will be Shawn Bagwell and Steve Hawley.

Our sympathies to his family for losing one so loved. Royce was always known for his smile and telling jokes. A visit from Doyce meant smiles and laughter. We know he will be missed.
