We saw Barbara Holiman at the doctor's office today, September 12. We learned Sandy had died. We were shocked and saddened by the news. I was in Sandy's wedding. I truly am sorry for your loss.
If Christie or I can help the family in any way, please let us know.
We hugged last spring at Fred's. I spoke with Ray once at their house and knew she was having a hard time with treatment. If we had known, we might have come to the service.

Brant and family,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss Mrs. Hamblen. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
When we started at First Baptist, Sandy was one of the first to become heavily involved with our children. MCCCC was one of many programs she talked us into, she was a Christian mentor to our children. She had a heart for all children as well as adults. She took Sydney under her wing and never let go. You could see Jesus on her face, (shined bright). Our family will miss her tremendously.

To Ray and Brant and family, it is with much sorrow that we hear of Sandy's passing but we also know that Heaven is a little sweeter for the loss of her family. We all will meet again someday inside the golden gates and the reunion will be wonderful. May GOD bless you and strengthen you during this time and know He is always near.
So many memories, and so many blessings my family have of Sandy. Such a sweet & loving Christian woman. What a beautiful example she was. Because of Sandy, about 23 years ago, she is the reason that me & the boys started to church! She loved my boys (ALL children) just like they were her own!
Ray, Brant and rest of family...She will be missed by so many. You are in our hearts and prayers. May you find peace and comfort in the memories, you will forever have.

I am so sorry to hear of Sandy's passing. She was a gentle daughter, wife, sister, aunt, cousin, mother and grandmother. I so enjoyed reading her sweet exchanges with Evan on Facebook. I live far away, but felt close to the family through her kind loving sense of humor.
My memories of Sandy Hamblen are:
1. A precious Christian Lady
2. A fantastic Mom that loved her sons and would do anything for them.
3. Great role model
She was always willing to help the teachers' of her sons.

We are heartbroken and will miss Sandy tremendously. Our prayers are with all she left behind as you mourn her loss. She was such a good friend and mentor to me. She was a Godly example of what a wonderful mother and grandmother should be. I loved her, and have so many great memories. I am confident that we will meet again, and that she is with our Lord and has joined many loved ones in Heaven.

RAY, BRANT AND FAMILY: SANDY WAS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL PERSON FROM INSIDE OUT. GOD BLESSED US WITH HER PRESENCE, NOW SHE IS PRAISING HIM BEFORE HIS THRONE. WHAT A GLAD REUNION DAY THAT MUST HAVE BEEN WHEN SHE ENTERED THE GATE OF HEAVEN. I KNOW YOUR LOSS IS GREAT, BUT GOD IS GREATER THAN ANY PAIN YOU FEEL ON THIS SIDE OF ETERNITY. GOD BLESS YOU. LOVE YOU MUCH.
