Alice Chastain

of Benton, AR

December 7, 1930 - July 26, 2017

Alice ''Faye'' Chastain, 86, of Benton passed away Wed, July 26, 2017. She was born December 7, 1930 in Stamps, AR to the late Wm Morgan and Alice Fitzgerald. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Wm Dorcie Chastain; in addition to her parents, four brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include one daughter; Brenda A. Womack and husband Richard of Benton; two grandsons, Wm Richard Womack and wife Brandi of Arkadelphia and Brian Womack and wife Kristi of Benton; eleven great-grandchildren, Wm Richard Jr., Rhett, Ross, Reid, Bella, Maria, Rachael, Avery, Drake, Wyatt, and namesake Emory Faye; four nieces and two nephews, and a host of special friends and acquaintances.

She has been a member of the family of God since the 3rd grade and is currently a church member at First Baptist Benton and the loving Deborah Sunday School Class. Her ministries included teaching children's Sunday School classes for 20 years; playing the piano and singing in adult Sanctuary Choirs throughout her lifetime; and actively participating in Bible Study Fellowship for years. She also enjoyed a 50+ year career as a beautician retiring at the age of 84. Faye, aka Gran, deeply loved and faithfully prayed for her grand and great-grandchildren.

In the families' sadness as we said goodbye in this world, we also rejoiced that there are dear family, friends, and her Savior joyously proclaiming ''here she comes.'' She has left behind a rich legacy of faith and a living model of a faithful Christian walk.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Stamps, AR at 10:00 a.m. July 28, 2017 officiated by Brian Womack. Pallbearers are her two grandsons and six great-grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers are longtime friends Troy Baxley, John Hugh West, Norris Woodall, and nephew Randall Young.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 27, 2017 in the chapel of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047).

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Saline Memorial Hospice House, 23157 I-30, Bryant, AR 72022
