Pearl Nadine Hopper Elliott wife of John R. Elliott passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 in Mountain View, Arkansas. Born September 29, 1937 to Everett and Ettie Hopper, the sixth child of eleven.
Mrs. Elliott was preceded in death by her parents, Everett Hopper, Ettie Waggle Hopper Collins, her brothers, Leo, Donald, Gene, and Marshall; her sisters, Mearl Teague, Louise Reynolds and Julie McEuen; also preceding her was her son, Charles Elliott.
Pearl is survived by husband, Rev. John R. Elliott, Sr.; siblings, Bertie Teague of Pocahontas, Hazel Evans of Searcy and Kenneth Hopper of Katy, Texas; her surviving children Lisa Barnes (Lee) of West Milton, Ohio, Steve Elliott (Tina) of Marion, Indiana, Peggy Patchin (Mark) , and John Elliott Jr. (Gina) of Pleasant Grove. Pearl's surviving grandchildren are Joshua (Jevon) Elliott, Jared (Angela) Elliott, Dallas Elliott, Tiffany (Russell) Dempsey, Samuel Elliott, Lanie Barnes, Lance Barnes, Kasey (Mike) White, Carly (Michael) Ricter, John Elliott III, and Gabriel Elliott. Pearl was blessed with 15 great-grandchildren and 90 nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Elliott was a housewife who also worked at Rural Special as a cook. She was known for her cake decorating, fried pies, and peanut brittle. She also enjoyed quilting with her sisters. Mrs. Elliott began married life in Gas City, Indiana and moved to Searcy, Arkansas in 1978 then to Fox, Arkansas in 1982. The Elliotts founded the Fox United Pentecostal Church where they have continued to attend.
Visitation for Mrs. Elliott will be Thursday, July 13, 2017, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Roller Coffman Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services for Mrs. Elliott will be Friday, July 14, 2017, 2:00 PM, at Fox United Pentecostal Church in Fox, Arkansas with Rev. Scott Langford and Joshua Elliott officiating. Interment will be at Fox Cemetery in Fox, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Mark Patchin, Lee Barnes, Jared Elliott, Jeremy Hopper, Michael White, and Christopher Langford. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Elliott, John Elliott, Jr. and Tim Teague.
Roller Coffman Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
We are all blessed in knowing her. I met her for Easter dinner. spent afternoon with her. I left with being immersed with her uplifting and peaceful spirit.
