Carroll Wood Brockwell Jr.I am a Veteran.

of Little Rock, AR

June 10, 1934 - July 6, 2017

C.W. Brockwell, Jr., 83, went to be with his Lord on July 6, 2017.

He graduated from Ouachita Baptist University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

He was a full-time Christian servant even though it took him into pastorates, advertising manager, and real estate.

In real estate, he joined his wife, Cathryn, to experience more blessings than they could ever imagine (Ephesians 3:20). C.W. loved giving! They were able to give money and even houses to God's work.

He is survived by his best friend, caregiver, and wife of 63 years, Cathryn; sister, Ada Brooks (Jerry); his niece, Kim Rosson and her family; his adopted children: The Macklins Mark (Dell), Jonathan (Lindsey), Benjamin (Vanessa); two precious great-granddaughters, Stella and Savannah; niece, Nancy Smith (John); nephews; lots of friends special ones in Max and Kathie Bonds; tenants; and workers in real estate. He blessed them! They blessed him! Cathryn's family was very special to him: brothers, Sonny Dunn (Sandra) and Bobby Dunn (Becky); sisters, Linda Moneymaker and Brenda Carmon; nieces; and nephews. He prayed blessings on them daily!

Abundant thanks to his caregivers: The Pattillos, J. Elliott, and the Klines. They are the world's best!

A memorial service will be held to honor him at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Arkansas 72209, (501)455-5800. A visitation/reception will follow the service.

Cathryn,
Learning of CW's homecoming please know our Prayers and Love are with you. Will never forget how you helped get in to our dream home. Most important how you and CW shared with us about our eternal home.

Many Hugs

My earliest memory of C.W. is encouragement for a young, untrained preacher...in over his head in ministry. Each time I preached, C.W. would have a specific word of encouragement.

In over thirty years of ministry, C.W. remained a faithful friend and ministry partner.

A man of steadfast faith. A faith that was fleshed out in a well-lived life.

C.W. modeled for me and all who would follow Christ what a life lived with "a long obedience in the same direction" looks like.

You were a gift to me in life. Your memory is a gift to me in your passing.

I am so sorry to hear of Carroll's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Reading Rev. 21:3, 4 and John 5:25 have always brought me comfort, and hopefully will do the same for you.

Hi Catherine:

So sorry to hear of C.W.'s passing. From our acquaintance at Ouachita in the fifties to our most recent contact, it has been a blessing to know C.W. I am sorry that our paths did not cross more often. He was truly a devoted disciple of our Lord Jesus and a devoted husband. Our prayers are with you in the months ahead as you adjust to the strangeness of life without C.W. I am thankful the Lord provided you for each other. Don Moore

I met the Brockwells back in the late 60s when he was pastor of Graves Memorial Baptist in N. Little Rock. I was the part-time music and youth minister. I knew very little music and was what I call a "hymn hyster", and the only thing I knew about youth is that I was one at the time! C. W. and Cathryn were very kind to me and my wife, Patty in spite of my inexperience. They encouraged me to learn new songs! They were a blessing to us in Christ Jesus. We pray for Cathryn and family during these days!
Love,
