James ''Jim'' H. Felts, 79, of Jonesboro, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at NEA Baptist Hospital. He was born January 28, 1938 in Egypt, AR to Ralph and Opal Parks Felts. Jim was a 1957 graduate of Egypt High School. He was a retired Captain of the Jonesboro Fire Department, owner of Front Page Cafe and a longtime Sears employee. He loved watching Andy Griffith and following his grandchildren to ballgames.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Helen Bellah; and three infant siblings.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene Spurlock Felts; two sons, J. Mike (Becky) Felts and Mickey (Greta) Felts; grandchildren, Brandon (Lydia) Felts, Mikayla (Noah) Flanrey, Corey (Madison) Felts, Shelby (Alan) O'Neal and Hillary (Carter) Callahan; great grandson, Owen O'Neal; a brother, Gerald Felts; a sister, Juanita Felts; and leaves behind one special nephew, John Harrison and two special nieces, Debbie Beaumer and Dianne Causey.
Funeral services will be 10 am Friday at Greensboro Road Church of Christ with Terry Joe Kee and Mark Brewer officiating. Interment will follow at the Sharp County Cemetery in Evening Shade, AR.
Visitation will be 5:30-8 pm Thursday at the Greensboro Road Church of Christ.
Dickie Roberts, Mike Owens, Larry Dulaney, Lonnie Gale Spurlock, Kenny James and Steve Vaughn will serve as active pallbearers.
Jonesboro Fire Fighters will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, please consider lasting memorials in Jim's honor to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Paragould Children's Home.

So sorry to hear about Jimmy's passing. He seemed like a very sweet child growing up. My Grandfather James Alexander Parks and Jimmy's Grandfather Henry Parks were brothers. I never saw him after he was grown. I am sure he will be missed.

Sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I worked at Sears with Jim and we went to church with Jim and Darlene. He will be missed to all who knew him.
