William Charles Rose, Sr., age 78, of Harrison, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017, at his residence. The son of Rev. William B. W. B. and Juanita (Cowell) Rose, he was born November 2, 1938, in Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters; and one brother.

William was a member of Mary Mother of God Catholic Church. He was a U. S. veteran having served as a Navy airman. He worked for the Harrison Police Department over 18 years and later retired from Radio Shack. He learned his electronics skills from the Zenith school in Springfield, Missouri and was a Ham radio operator, number N5VKF. His passions were playing his guitar, fishing with his son and grandson, and amateur astronomy with his daughter.

William is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Khris Rose, Jr., of Centerton, Arkansas; his daughter, Chris Rose, of Harrison; his grandson, Will Rose, III; his ex-wife, Jan Rose, of Harrison; his half-brother, Allen Luton, of Washington; his half-sister, Ellwood Weed, of Tennessee; his caregiver, Judy Jennings, of Harrison; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass was held at Mary Mother of God Catholic Church Saturday, June 24, 2017, with Father James Fanrak officiating.
