Dorlis Green, 79, left this life on June 15, 2017. He was preceded in death by his second wife, Thelma Green, a son Ricky Green, his parents Francis and Mahala Green, and one sister, Lea Votis Davis. He is survived by a sister, Genell Brown, a brother Alva Green, many nieces and nephews, many friends and relatives and his ex-wife, Augusta Green.
Dorlis spent most of his productive life in Baxter County. He was on the Mountain Home police force for four years. In his early years, he served two years in the army. He held a prominent position with the REA Electric
Co-op for about twenty years. He was a believer in Christ and life after death.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Roller Coffman Chapel. Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 22, 2017 also at Roller Coffman Chapel. Interment will be at Flatwoods Cemetery.
Pallbearers are: Cletis Davis, John Davis, James Boyd, Coy Yancey, Barry Vincent, and Dwayne Watson.
Roller Coffman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

For the last 15 years Dorlis was married to my mother Thelma Green. I will never forget the day he came to me and wanted me to become his blood daughter by poking our fingers and band them together, he is such a unique individual to be around listing to all the stories of Rickey, being a police officer and his many stories of the past. RIP Dorlis you will be missed.

Mr. Green and Mrs. Thelma watched my children grow up and never failed to speak to us when we went by. I will miss visiting with him. My prayers are with his family.
