Herbert ''Jack'' Daniels, age 91 of Leslie, Arkansas passed from this life on Friday, June 16th, 2017 at Highland Court in Marshall, Arkansas. He was born on February 1st, 1926 in Clarksville, Arkansas to Isaac Lee Daniels and Pearl Malick Daniels.
Jack was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean War during which he received a Korean Service Medal and four Bronze Service Stars. He was a very patriotic gentleman and was a member of VFW Post 4681. Jack was also a member of the Wiley's Cove Masonic Lodge #524. Jack loved music and playing the guitar. He enjoyed fishing and sitting on the porch with his dogs, Bullet and Trapper.
Survivors include two children, Bill Daniels (JoAnn) of Cassville, MO and Carroll Hunter (Kenny) of Belle Vista; nine step-children, Paul ''Buster'' Stevens (Glinda) of Benton, Melbourne Stevens (Pat) of Omaha, Gloria Jones-Shannon of Clinton, Debbie Birchfield (Dean) of Winslow, Elaine Smith (Sam) of Kingston, Oleta Carr (Billy) of Huntsville, Tammy Jackson-Redman (Anthony) of Leslie, Libby Avery (Andy) of KnobNoster, MO and Tressa Scott (Jay) of St. Joe; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Juanita Fransisco and Louise Wilson, both of Goodman, MO.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Elbert Davis; his first wife, Nellie Treat Daniels and second wife, Bonnie Stevens-Daniels; sister, Mary Rains; brother, Bill Daniels; step-daughter, Linda Davis; step-grandson, J.C. Passmore; step-great grandsons, Glen Bodkin and Kyler Williams; and step-great-great grandson, Reedon Clingman.
Funeral services for Jack will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, June 20th, 2017 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas. Visitation will be 12:00 till 1:00 PM preceding the service. Burial will be in Nubbin Hill Cemetery near Leslie. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. The staff of Highland Court will serve as honorary pallbearers.
