One of God's special angels received her wings. Janice Glyn Gray, age 79 of Marshall, Arkansas left this world to join many loved ones in heaven on Saturday, June 10th, 2017 at Highland Court in Marshall, Arkansas. She was born in the Canaan Community of Searcy County, Arkansas on January 19th, 1938 to Elmer Coy Horton and Tabitha J. Horton.
Janice was raised at Canaan and attended Marshall High School. She married right after high school and had two daughters, Dianna and Markita. Janice was a hardworking woman. She spent many hard hours on the farm or at the fruit orchards. She worked 29 years at Lily Tulip in Springfield, MO. On May 5th, 1992 she married her high school sweetheart, James Roy Gray and they enjoyed many special trips and outings together until his death earlier in this year. Janice attended Marshall First Baptist church and enjoyed attending her Sunday school class. She also enjoyed making crafts, gardening, shopping trips with friends, cooking and planning family get-togethers. She loved the time spent with Jessie, volunteering at Highland Court, calling Bingo and visiting with the residents and faculty. Janice was full of life. She loved people and always had a good time where ever she went.
Survivors include two daughters, Dianna Woods and husband Doyle of Rogersville, MO and Markita Crumley of Springfield, MO; one brother, Leon Horton and wife Jessie of Marshall; grandsons, Kelly and Kevin Woods of Springfield, MO; granddaughter, Daphne Sartin and husband Travis of Marshfield, MO; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Woods, Clay Sartin, Keegan Woods, Nadalyn Sartin and Maggie Woods; and many nieces, nephews, other family and many special friends, especially those she made at Highland Court. Janice is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Roy Gray; step-son, James D. Gray; and one brother, Jerry Horton.
Funeral services for Janice will be 10:00 AM Thursday, June 15th, 2017 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Eddie Ragsdale officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM Wednesday, June 14th, 2017 in the Chapel. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.

Sorry to hear about your sister. I always enjoyed watching her interacting with the residents at Highland Court. She enjoyed visiting and helping with them. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.
