Barbara Jeanne Johnston Jones, 98, of Batesville died Sunday, June 4, 2017.

Barbara was born on July 18, 1918 in Spokane, Washington and was the daughter of Guy Randolph Johnston and Ruth Slaughter Johnston. She was the wife of Ernest Eugene Jones.

Survivors include her three children: Suzanne Jones Ortt (husband, Bob), Michael Eugene Jones (wife, Carol), and James Arch Jones (wife, Mary Kay); seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Barbara was active in many civic, social, musical, and church activities. She was a homemaker and member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She will be remembered as a generous and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

A private graveside service will be held Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Father Jim McDonald.
