Paul Edward Mueller, 81, of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas passed from this life May 29, 2017 at his home. He was born December 14, 1935 in Wausau, Wisconsin to the late Edwin and Lana (Bremer) Mueller.
Paul made his career in manufacturing management, retiring to Fairfield Bay in 1984 from The Vollrath Company. He was instrumental in guiding the Fairfield Bay community to become a city, through the process of incorporation, and was the founding Mayor of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas in 1993.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Patricia, his second wife, Ruth Ann and all of his siblings.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Jeffery Mueller of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, Pamela Veldboom and Rodney Mueller, both of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

So sorry for your loss. Paul was a brilliant man who not only got Fairfield Bay established as a city but also Cherokee Village. He led Fairfield Bay during a time of tremendous turmoil and accomplished much. Hate to think of where our town would be if he had not taken the leadership role. He obviously was one of those leaders who was determined to make a positive difference.

I met Mr. Paul this past year on my meal delivery route for the Fairfield Bay Senior Center. He always answered the door with a smile on his face... such a kind man. I will miss seeing him every Thursday. Anna M.
