Walter Claude Moore, 88, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away at his home on Sunday, May 28, 2017. Walter was born on March 18, 1929 in Brewer, Arkansas to the late John Henry and Bertha Elizabeth (Best) Moore. Walter loved his horses and western lifestyle and worked as a rancher for most of his life. Walter will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.
Walter is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Alice Marie (Richardson) Moore; two sons, Walter Gene Moore and wife Karen and Chester Van Moore and wife Anise; one brother, Neil Moore, and two sisters, Johnny Bell Manning and Robbie June Mitchell; three grandchildren, Jessica Moore, Deidre Moore-Ladd, and Corey Moore.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Bertha Elizabeth (Best) Moore; one sister, Gysie Reed and three brothers, Dale, Paul, and Sam Moore.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, from 6-8PM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, 10:00AM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas with Brother Stanley Sutterfield officiating. Interment will be at Smart/Parma Cemetery in Parma, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Phillip Rushing, Jim Bob White, Craig Rushing, Lacy McElroy, Roger Hipp, and Teddy Morris. Honorary pallbearers are Jack Morris, Shane McElroy, Ronnie Kocher, and Travis Linville.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.

I"m at a loss for words stone county has lost a great man and i have lost a great friend i have know walt for 30 years walt was a very honest and kind gentleman he and i have sat and talked for hours over the years i always like to set and visit with him and his wife walt was a very giving person to people in need he helped in his community often they will never be another walter moore in this county to his wife when you hurt i hurt to his sons when you hurt i hurt i loved and respected your father because he left a impression on me in my life he seem like my father to i will never forget this man called walter moore prayers for you all .

Heaven gained a wonderful man yesterday. Though my heart breaks I know I will see him again, we talked about it just last week. I have some very wonderful memories & hold them dear.
