Elaine Quick, age 72, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017, in Mountain Home. She was born December 4, 1944 in Howard's Ridge, Missouri to Wylo Pleasant and Linnie (Stevens) Pleasant.
Some of her active years of employment were spent helping to operate the Pleasant Mill and Timber Company. For 21 years, Elaine worked in the Baxter County Assessor's Office, spending 11 of those years as County Assessor. Elaine was a member of the Mountain Home Baptist Church. Her greatest joy was spending time with family.
Elaine is survived by one son, Kris (Tammye) Quick of Mountain Home , one daughter, Karla (David) Martin of Mountain Home, by four grandchildren: Ashley (Preston) McCord of Mountain Home, Maranda (Chance) Hickman of Mountain Home, Sophie Quick of Mountain Home and Sadie Quick of Mountain Home, by three great-grandchildren: Kinsley and Payton McCord and Laynee Hickman. She is also survived by two sisters: Sandy (Wayne) Almond of Mountain Home and Janet (Steve) Meyer of Monte Vista, Colorado, and by three brothers: Ronnie (Connie) Pleasant of Monte Vista, Colorado, Bruce (Kim) Pleasant of Seattle, Washington and Roger (Merita) Pleasant of Phoenix, Arizona. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, D. A. Dahlke of Mountain Home and ex-husband, Larry Quick.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Anna Jean Dahlke, nephew Donald Dahlke and step-mother, Corrine Pleasant.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2017, at Roller Funeral Home with Brother Bill Hughes and Brother Justin Knight officiating. Visitation will be Noon to 2 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2017 at Roller Funeral Home. Interment will be in Baxter Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Mountain Home Baptist Church.
