Martha McWhorter Williford passed away in peace on Tuesday, May 16, 2017.
She is survived by her husband, Richard (Dickie) Williford; her
daughter, Kelley Williford Nelson; her two grandsons, Don Nelson III
and Ryan Nelson; her brother Gene McWhorter (Norma); and her sister,
Joyce Ekenseair (Kenneth). She was preceded in death by her brother,
Woody McWhorter (Judy).
Mrs. Williford taught school in the West Memphis School District for
20 years, and taught Kindergarten and Sunday School at the First
United Methodist Church in West Memphis. She received the Volunteer of
the Year Award from St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in 2009, and
served as a Volunteer at St. Jude for over 20 years.
The family requests that any Memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's
Research Hospital.
