Margie Crabtree Palmer, age 95, of Harrison, was received into the arms of Jesus Saturday, May 13, 2017, She was the oldest daughter of John Herman and Della (Payne) Crabtree, born March 8, 1922, in Pittsburg County, Oklahoma. Margie was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Eugene Gizzi; her husband, William Clifton Palmer; her daughter, Patricia Porter; her son, Don Terry Gizzi; her granddaughter, Suzanne Cross; her grandson, John D. Porter; her sisters, Louise Brown and LaVerne Sukenis and her brother, Paul John Crabtree.

Margie received the Lord as her savior at the Baptist church in Henryetta, Oklahoma where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. Later moving to Hartshorne, Oklahoma, she later became a member of the Assembly of God church where she wrote the church news and taught a women's class for many years. The Lord was her life and love. She supported the work of the Lord, loved the Jewish community and supported them, and loved reading good books (of which Patricia supplied plenty of) and the Bible.

Margie attended school in Hartshorne, Oklahoma. She loved working in her flowers and was blessed with beautiful peonies at her home in Hartshorne, Oklahoma. She worked at the telephone companies in Hartshorne and Kansas City, Missouri, where she was an operator. After the death of her beloved husband Bill in 1998, Margie moved to Harrison, Arkansas in 2001 to be with her daughter Patricia and her family.

Margie is survived by her son-in-law, John Porter; her granddaughters, Diana Jones, Brenda Rawlski, and Christa Lambert; her great-grandchildren, Eric Jones, Ryan Jones, Rachael Case, J. D. Winberry, Shawna Carter, Taesha Burleson, Hannah Porter, Mark Fields and Evan Lambert; ten great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family.

Margie loved her Lord and proclaimed his name above all else.

Believers are accompanied by angels into God's presence at death and gather them to Christ at his return. Luke 16:22



Graveside funeral service was Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Elmwood Cemetery in Hartshorne, Oklahoma. Family and friends served as pallbearers.
