Sue Smith, 78, of Earle Arkansas passed away peacefully on May 12, 2017. Known by many as Susie Q or Mamaw, Sue was a homemaker and matriarch to the family. She was a wealth of knowledge to the family and it was all based upon her love of Christ. Sue was born in Earle Arkansas on March 3, 1939 to parents J.D. and Lorene Rodgers. She leaves behind many family members who loved her dearly including four sons; Rocky Smith (Annette) of Higdon, Arkansas, Steve Smith of Higdon, Arkansas, Kevin Smith (Anita) of Jonesboro, Arkansas and David Smith (Sandra) of Marion, Arkansas. Two Daughters; Kay Wood (Jeff) of Wynne, Arkansas and Brandy Almarri (Saeed) of Jacksonville, Arkansas. Life-long sweetheart of 61 years; Leon Smith. Two brothers; Floyd Rogers (Sandra) of Grand Bury, Texas and Joe Rodgers (Carol) of Earle, Arkansas. Two sisters; Betty Rash (Freddie) of Lawson, Missouri and Linda Howard of Baldwin, Mississippi. Sue will be missed by nineteen grandchildren; Robin Nash, Adam Smith, Jimmy Smith, Philip Smith, Carli Smith, Madalyn Smith, Hunter Wood, Nick Wood, Skyla Smith, Katie Smith, Jakob Smith, Dakota Wicker, Olivia Wicker, Holly Smith, Anthony Smith, Brad Needham, Colton Smith, Autumn Currie and Norah Almarri. She also leaves behind nine great-grandchildren who she adored. Sue was preceded in death by her parents J.D. and Lorene, brothers; Kenneth Rodgers, Donny Rodgers and Terry Rodgers along with her daughter in law Lisa Smith. In Lieu of flowers, the family wishes a contribution be made to the Earle First Assembly of God Church. Visitation will be held at the Earle First Assembly of God Church on Monday from 6pm-8pm. Services will be held on Tuesday at the church at 10:00am with burial to follow at the Gibson Bayou Cemetery in Earle.
