Georgette (Brooks) Guffey, 73, of Shirley was born September 12, 1943 in McCormick, Arkansas to the late Lee Gordon Brooks and Estelle (Settlemire) Brooks and passed from this life on April 22, 2017 in Conway, Arkansas. Georgette had a heart for people, especially children. She taught special education in the public school systems for over 30 years. Georgette was a devout Christian of the Baptist Faith. She was certain of her eternal destiny at the time of her passing.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of over 50 years, Tommy Guffey and four siblings.

Left to cherish her memory are her seven children; Walter Guffey, Jackie Guffey, Darlene Keeton, Deborah Vinson, Ronnie Guffey, Sherry Walker and David Lopez, fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Roller-McNutt Funeral home in Clinton, Arkansas.

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Guffy's passing. Working with special needs children is such a nobel cause. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Reading Rev. 21:3, 4 have always brought me comfort, and hopefully will do the same for you.

Aunt Georgette you will be truly missed.I love you God received a beautiful Angle when he chose you.To all my 1st Cousin's I live yall and if there is anything I can do to help just let me know.I will always keep yall in my prayer's.I know it hurts to loose a very special person,Our Mother's was our rock in our family's no one can ever take there place.The Lord will help all through this sad time.She will never be forgotten........

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother,,,she was such a sweet lady,,,I always had a good time when we got to visit,,,I met her at the VBC Special School,,,I have known her for many years....I know you will miss her dearly,,,,you were blessed to have her as your Mother,,,may the Heavenly Father comfort you and keep you.
