William ''Billy'' Brooks, 67, of Batesville, died Thursday, April 20, 2017.
He was born on December 4, 1949 in Batesville, Arkansas to Ezra Gordon Brooks and Pearl Laverne (Warnick) Brooks.
Billy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a talented musician, who was a also a gospel singing evangelist, with the Soul Searchers for over thirty years.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanne (Schwehr) Brooks of Batesville; son, Robert ''Seth'' Brooks (wife, Leslie) of Batesville; daughters, Samantha Hayes (husband, Ryan) of Charlotte and Windy Brooks of Horseshoe Bend; five grandchildren, Taylor Gates, Koty Jones, Claire Brooks, Hunter Hayes, and Charlie Brooks; brother, Charles Brooks (wife, Cathy) of Batesville; sister, Betty Johnson (husband, Delmus) of Melbourne; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ezra and Pearl Brooks; daughter, Lorrie Jo Brooks; granddaughter, Angel Jones; and nephew, Kevin Johnson.
The pallbearers are Danny Carter, Jon Adams, Brad Fulbright, Greg Vickery, Travis Lawrence and Billy Bass. Honorary Pallbearers will be Blake Caraway and Blane Johnson.
The funeral service will be at 3:00 pm on Monday, April 24, 2017 at Cornerstone Community Church in Cushman with Leonard Tharp officiating. Burial will follow at Reeves Cemetery in Melbourne.
The visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on Monday prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Cornerstone Community Church, 205 Collietown Rd, Cushman, AR 72526.
Billy was such an exceptionally bright and talented person who was love by many. I know he will be missed by many.

Billy was a good friend. I will always remember that he was the only friend that would go to church with me in California. We where working in Long Beach for McDonnell Douglas in 1989.Thanks Billy! RIP
