Daniel Maes, 44, a resident of Van Buren, formerly of Paris passed away Monday, April 3, 2017, in Fort Smith.
He was born December 19, 1972, in Whittier, California to Robert Maes and Paula (Pitchford) Maes. Daniel worked as a driller in the oil field. He was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Caldwell; maternal grandparents, Paul and Ethel Pitchford and a great nephew, Dustin Lee Justice Rose.
Survivors include three sons, Bradley Trey Maes of Hot Springs and Brandon Matthew and Braden Drew Maes, both of Van Buren; his girlfriend, Michelle Selph of Van Buren; his father, Robert Maes of Denver, Colorado and his mother, Paula (Pitchford) Maes of Fort Smith; a brother, David Caldwell of Fort Smith; a sister, Kathy Walker of Fort Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 6, 2017, at the Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 7, 2017, at Oakwood Cemetery in Paris with Rev. Tammy Frederick officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Steve Landis, Scott Bridges, David W. Caldwell, Joey Caldwell, Chris Pennington and Chris Henderson.
Our thoughts and Prayers are with you all. Danny was a great friend and a wonderful father. Many great times we had together growing up.. He will be missed greatly.
