Doyal Dempsey May, 94, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away March 29, 2017 at Stone County Medical Center in Mountain View, Arkansas. Doyal was born on April 19, 1922 in Konawa, Oklahoma to the late James W. May. Doyal was a veteran of the United States Army where he served his country in World War II. Doyal had a degree in accounting and retired as a public accountant. Doyal was still actively doing taxes for his friends at the Mountain View Senior Center. Doyal was a mason for over 50 years and achieved the rank of Master Mason. Doyal attended Fox Assembly of God Church in Fox, Arkansas and will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
Doyal is survived by his wife, Sylvia May; son, Dr. James W. May; daughter, Dr. Beverly May Dooley and husband Patrick; three grandchildren, Alicia Ann Dooley, Timothy Kelly Dooley, and Jason Matthew May; seven great-grandchildren, Jaden Austin Murray, Hudson Alister Murray, Finley May Murray, Landri Faith Murray, Parker Kollin Dooley, Andie Elizabeth Dooley, Guinevere Aishlinn May; stepson, Teddy J. Morris and stepdaughter, Debra Hipp; nine step-grandchildren and seventeen step-great-grandchildren.
Doyal was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and three sisters.
Visitation is Saturday, April 1, 2017, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Fox Assembly of God in Fox, Arkansas. Funeral services are Sunday, April 2, 2017, 2:00 PM at Fox Assembly of God in Fox, Arkansas with Brother Marvin Sutterfield and Brother Patrick O. Dooley officiating. Interment will be at Fox Cemetery in Fox, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Kelly Dooley, Jason May, Roger Hipp, Jeremy Knapp, Caliem Morris, and Joby Morris.

Just found out about your Dad. I was a friend of your Mother, Faye. Praying for peace and comfort. Sure did miss them when they moved from Ok.

This breaks my heart. I have come to know Mr. Doyal over the last 8yrs and he always greeted me with a hug. I can not express how sad I am to not to receive them anymore. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to Mrs. Sylvia and his family as they lay him to rest. May God keep his arms around you and lend you his strength, comfort, and peace.
