Martha Elizabeth Lephiew, 99, of Wooster, Arkansas, died Wednesday, March 22, 2017. She was born on Monday, November 5, 1917 in Thornton, Arkansas to the late Lonnie and Virginia (Hogue) McDonald.

Mrs. Lephiew was retired from Jack Winter Clothing Company, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and reading. She was active at Emmaus Missionary Baptist Church and was a member of First Baptist Church in Wooster.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Tilman Lee Brown; her second husband, Elbert Lephiew; son, Lonnie Brown; brothers, Lawrence McDonald, Charles McDonald, Dale McDonald; and sisters, Maureen Jones, Sue McDonald, Geneva Boston, Opal Buford and Nina Looney.

She is survived by two daughters, Marie Wilson of Wooster and Eugenia Long of Tyler, Texas; sons, James Lee Brown of Rison, Arkansas and Charles Wayne Brown of Kingsland, Arkansas; sister, Nona Montgomery of Benton, Arkansas; brother, Leondis Garfield McDonald, Jr. of Fordyce, Arkansas; 18 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be 9:00-10:00am, Saturday, March 25, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Wooster, funeral service will follow at 10:00am at the church with Brother Keith Hicks officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00pm in the Garrison Cemetery in Warren under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Greenbrier.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Brown, Gary Finch, Brent Brown, Norman Mahan, Derb Stone, Kevin Sullivan and Johnny Smith.

We are so sorry for your loss of Ms. Martha. She was a very friendly and beautiful lady. She was one of my favorite ladies to come to my beauty shop. She crocheted a large table scarf for me in a matter of a few days. We have a lot of sympathy for her family and friends.

FAMILY, MAY OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN GIVE YOU PEACE AND COMFORT AT THIS TIME. SHE HAS LIVED TO BE THE OLDEST AS FAR AS I KNOW IN HER FAMILY AND AMONG HER 1ST COUSINS. I USE TO TO VISIT HER AND ELBERT ON HWY 189 AND IN WARREN AND OVER AT THORNTON WHEN SHE WAS VISITING HER MOTHER. MAYBE HER AND MAUREEN ARE NOW REJOICING IN HEAVEN.
