Mr. Louie L. ''Pete'' Acklin, age 63 of Lone Rock passed away Thursday March 16, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. He was born July 23, 1953 in Mountain Home to Herschel and Arthie Mead Acklin. He married Marlene Wilbur on July 22, 1972 in Lone Rock. He attended Lone Rock Baptist Church. Louie enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his tractor and cattle farming. He volunteered frequently at the Burnt Schoolhouse Cemetery and was on the cemetery board. He is survived by his wife Marlene Acklin; 2 sons: Matthew Acklin and Jason (Jesslyn) Acklin, both of Lone Rock; 4 grandchildren: Cheyenne, Kelcy, Hayden, and Hadley Acklin; a brother Terry Acklin of Lone Rock. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Bonnie Acklin and a brother Lonnie Acklin. Visitation will be 12 -9 PM Monday March 20, 2017 at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8 PM. A graveside service will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday March 21, 2017 at Burnt Schoolhouse Cemetery. Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.

Marlene, I am so sorry for your loss. I know you have some tough times ahead of you and so many people love you and will be there to help you. Every memory I have of you and Pete you were always together since junior high. Will be praying for you. God bless.

Marlene, Matt and girls, and Jason and family ,you are all in my prayers our families have shared a lot of GREAT memories we all had a lot of fun when Pete and Dennis coached the boys in baseball and a lot of fun on the river when we could drive down anytime we wanted to Pete was so good with kids he loved to tease them my boys always thought a lot of Pete I am so glad he got to see all of Kelseys games I know a lot of the time he probably was in a lot of pain but that didn't stop him from going My family will all miss Pete even if we didn't see each other that much we always knew he was just up the road I know you all will miss him terribly but you have a lot of good memories if you need anything let me know KATHY
I knew Louie from back in the Big Flat school days and went to school with him and his sister Bonnie. Their brother Lonnie was in my brother's class. Wanted to say that I am sorry for your loss and may God bless you in these difficult times.

I am very sorry to hear about my 1st cousin, Pete. I am thankful that I got to see and talk with him a few years back at a Funeral for one of our relatives in Mountain Home.
