Frances Eloise Whitehead, age 93, of Palestine, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Helena, Arkansas. Mrs. Whitehead was born October 6, 1923 in Palestine to Aaron Lafayette Morris and Ruth Bradley Morris. She was a member of The Church of Christ in Palestine, Arkansas. She was also a farmer for over 25 years.

Mrs. Whitehead is survived by six grandchildren, Robert E. McClendon, Tammy Boone, Cindy Smith Mallory Smith, Tommie Leigh Sweat, and Thomas Eugene McClendon. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene McClendon; husband, Rufus Whitehead; two sons, Billy Gene McClendon and Thomas Lafayette McClendon; two brothers, Alfred Morris and Billy Jack Morris; and two sisters, Mildred Lee and Lorine Cupp.

A service for Frances Whitehead will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Palestine Church of Christ in Palestine, Arkansas. Burial will be at Bell Cemetery in Palestine. Brother Chris Britt will officiate.

Pallbearers are John "Mad Dog" Sweat, Terry Smith, Thomas McClendon, Keith Westbrook and Ray Westbrook.

Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to the Palestine Church of Christ, P.O. Box 458, Palestine, Arkansas 72372.
