David ''Larry'' Dye, 71, of Conway went to be with the Lord Wednesday March 8, 2017. He was born September 18, 1945 in Wichita, Kansas to David Victor and Violet Dye. I was friends with Mr. Dye's son, John. Yesterday (February 12, 2021) was the 26th anniversary of John's death. Today, my mom and I were talking about John and I was enjoying memories of our friendship. It led me to looking up his family. I was saddened to see this obituary. I am comforted knowing that Mr. Dye was welcomed to heaving by John. At the time of Mr. Dye's death it had been 22 years since this father and son has seen each other. I'm loving imagining what a beautiful reunion it was! Rest in peace Mr. Dye. Tell John hello from his high school friend, Jim. I hope Mrs. Dye, Kim, and David are all doing well. I occasionally drive through our old neighborhood, Canterbury Commons, and see their family home. These are all good memories of John and the Dye family.

I did not know Larry, but I do know his daughter "Kim." You can always tell the values, culture, and personality of the parents in your children. Knowing Kim makes me wish I had knew her dad. My prayers for the family in this darkened time of their lives. God's rays of light will overcome this heavy burden as time moves by.
