Donald Anthony Moman, known to his friends and family as Tony and Diesel Don, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at his home in Brookland at the age of 73. He was born June 11, 1943 in Mortageville, KY to Jack and Evelyn Brantley Moman. Tony was a diesel mechanic for Northeast Diesel of Jonesboro. He retired from the Army as a Staff Sergeant. He loved hunting, fishing and wrestling. Tony was of the Baptist belief.
Tony is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Donald Anthony Moman; and three brothers, Gerald Lee Moman, Tommy Moman and Dicky Moman; and two sisters, Elliouse Moman and Imogene Moman.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Glenda Jones Moman; three sons, William (Bill) Moman, John Tucker and William and Carla Brown; five daughters, Donna Rodreguez, Tracey Fyi, Wilma and Mark Hodge, Belinda and Joe Guthrie, and Karen and Marty Russell; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren with one on the way
Chapel services will be 10 am Saturday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro with Marty Russell and Joe Guthrie officiating. Interment will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-7 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Tony's grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers. Hermon Long, Melvin Grimes and Larry Price will serve as honorary pallbearers.
