of Conway, AR
February 24, 1954 - March 4, 2017
Jo Anna McElroy Corder passed away peacefully surrounded by family in the evening of March 4, 2017. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and loved by so many. She was a friend to many and she loved to quilt. She always had a smile on her face and brought cheer to many and never met a stranger.
She was born in Yankton, South Dakota on February 24, 1954 to R.L. McElroy and Sula Lipe. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Mike Corder of Conway, AR, her children Michael Corder (Amy) of Vilonia, AR and Matthew Corder of Conway, AR. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Shelby Corder, Abbie Beth Corder, Kinley Corder, Adi Corder and Grayson Corder.
There will be a private family service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the CARTI, 2425 Dave Ward Drive, Ste. 201 Conway, AR 72034 and Arkansas Children's Hospital, 1 Children's Way, Little Rock, AR 72202.
Cremation arrangements by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway.
My sympathies to Mrs. Corder’s family: Ecclesiastes 3:12 tells us that there is nothing better ...than to rejoice and to do good during one’s life. As you celebrate her life you can be confident of God’s assurance that soon all sickness and death will be no more, (Isaiah 25:8; 33:24). Almighty God, can ‘comfort you’ (Isaiah 51:12).
I'm so sorry for your loss. It was always comforting to me and nice to know that Jo Anna was close by. I will miss her. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.
Dear Mike,

My sweet friend finally closed the curtain on me for the final time. My heart aches for each and every one of you. She was a very special lady and I will always cherish our memories. She made Krista her first Christmas stocking and we have been hanging it up for 26 years now. I also still have the quilts your grandmother made for me. I hope you find comfort in knowing that she was loved by many.
Love and Prayers,
Teresa
I am saddened to hear about the passing of Jo Anna...I went to Haskell HS with her and Tim... my prayers are with you and the family
My condolences to her family! JoAnna and I attended school together when she lived in Haskell, Oklahoma for a while. We were very good friends. She moved back to Arkansas after 10th grade, in 1971. I later went to spend some of the summer with her and her mom. We had a blast! We eventually lost touch but reconnected on Facebook. JoAnna made a couple of Christmas tree ornaments that she sent me and I will treasure them forever! Rest in peace my dear friend!
An angle has gone home!
