Barbara ''Renee'' Tassin, 51 of St Francisville LA, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at Lady of the lake hospital in Baton Rouge LA. Renee was born March 22, 1965 in Martinez CA to Colin hawkins and Earline (Crowell) Jones. Renee was a Homemaker and also worked as a housekeeper. She was a loving wife, grandmother, and mom. Renee loved fishing, bon fires, barbeques, her grandchildren, and going to the mardi gras; Renee was also a fine upstanding Christian woman who loved the lord with all her heart. Mrs. Tassin is preceded in death by her Father Colin ''Doug'' Hawkins, and her father and mother-in-law Allen and Alda Tassin.
Renee is survived by her husband Rodney Joseph Tassin of LA; mother Earline Jones of AR; Daughter Sharleen ''missy'' and Nathan Kessler of LA; Sons Delbert and Renae Hodges of AR; Brandon Hodges of LA; Sisters Pamela Hawkins James and husband Anthony ''Dewayne ''of AR, Angela Brown of AR; Brothers Curtis Hawkins of AR, John R Jones of CA; Step Sons Jeffery and Brian Tassin of LA; Grandchildren Skyla Kessler, Layla and Marya Hodges, Jace Hodges, and others; Nieces and Nephews: Daniel and Charity Klein of AR, Tim and Shayleen Musgrove of AR, Jakob and Jaden Hawkins of AR, Brain and April Hawkins of CA, and others; Brother and sister-in-law Stephen and Tammer Tassin of LA; along with numerous great nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Renee's Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday March 2, 2017 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 3, 2017 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Kenny Maness officiating. Burial will follow at the Spadra Cemetery with Delbert Hodges, Roy C. Varnell, Tim Musgrove, Nathan Keesler, Dan Graham, and Mark Varnell serving as Pallbearers. Anthony ''Dewayne'' James will be serving as Honorary Pallbearer.
