Toni Jo King, age 63 of Harrison, passed away Friday, February 3, 2017. She was born November 21, 1953 in Terre Haute, Indiana the daughter of John and Sara Padgett Williams.
Toni married Marvin Claude King Sr., April 2, 1979 in Harrison with them celebrating 37 years together. She worked for the Harrison Daily Times for over 20 years. She enjoyed collecting cookie jars, working puzzles, keeping up with her grandkids activities and she loved hosting Thanksgiving dinner for her family and friends and had done so for over 40 years. She loved her dogs and cat.
Mrs. King is survived by her husband Marvin, of the home; three sons: Marvin Claude (Kelli) King, Jr. of Harrison, Brandon Shane (Robin Harris) King of Everton and Kevin Allen King of Joplin, Missouri; two daughters: Sabrina Ann (Brian) Drewry of Valley Springs, and Michelle Lea (Doug Baker) King of Harrison and 16 grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters: Gladys Cooper of Indiana, Loretta Farmer of Harrison, Eva Wilson of Harrison, Carol Williams of Everton, Barbie Ledel of Green Forest and a host of nieces and nephews and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father Bernard Terrell, sister Patty Ann Terrell and brother Charlie Padgett.
Visitation was Tuesday, February 7, 2017.
Funeral services was Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Interment was in Maple Leaf Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Morris King, Michael Cooper, Tyler Gentry, Grant Gentry, Marcus Williams, Justin Wilson, Rick Williams, Leon Lane, Todd Cooper, Floyd Cooper, Jr., Austin Drewry and Isaac Drewry.
Honorary Pallbearers: Dr. Charles Klepper and staff and Legacy Hospice.
