Jesse C. Martinez, Jr., 72 of Pettigrew, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017 in Fayetteville. Jesse was born October 17, 1944 in Houston, Texas to Mr. Jesse, Sr. and Manora (Hernandez) Martinez. Jesse served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and the U.S. Army. He was a gunsmith by trade, and loved collecting, working on, and shooting guns. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time in the woods. He is preceded in death by his father, Jesse C. Martinez, Sr.; and one son, Paul Edward Martinez.
Mr. Martinez is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nadine Martinez; mother, Manora Martinez of Clarksville; one son, Robert L. Brown, Jr. of Pettigrew; one daughter in law, Tammy ''Evita'' Martinez of Pettigrew; one sister, Pauline Contreras of Clarksville; five grandchildren, Aaron Brown, Khamillian Allen, Eerie Forest Allen, Chloe Carol Martinez, and Nathaniel Scribbner; five great-grandchildren, Alenna Brown, Able Brown, James Jackson, Regan Jackson, and Draven Jetton; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be 5:00 P.M. Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Second Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Second Baptist Church Church Fund.

Carol and Robert, I am so sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of Dad and Mom bringing us to your house to visit when I was growing up. I am so sorry to hear of your lost. The only comfort I could express, is Jesse is not longer in pain. He is now free of all the pain and suffering this world brings upon us.
