Harold Ray Keeton, of Madison, Mississippi, went to be with our Lord and Savior, January 10, 2017, at the age of 81. Ray was born in LaGrange, Arkansas, on February 26, 1935. He married the love of his life, Virginia Beatrice Snyder, on December 13, 1959.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Greathel James Keeton and Lela B. Morgan Keeton; one sister, Naomi Owens; and one brother, James Keeton. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia Beatrice Snyder Keeton; one son, Harold Keith Keeton (Lorie); one daughter, Cheryl Keeton Shelton (Tim); one granddaughter, Meredith Keeton White (Justin); and one sister, Joyce Coates (Bev).
Ray proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Corps and in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a Human Resource Manager for 45 years until his retirement. He was actively involved in church throughout the years and lived his entire life sharing the love of Christ with others. It is written in Luke 12:8, "Whoever publicly acknowledges me before others, the Son of Man will also acknowledge before the angels of God." Our beloved husband and father is rejoicing with the angels today and for eternity.
