I was in total shock learning of Allan's death. My heart goes out to you and your family. I have never forgotten your and Allan's kindness when we moved into Weiner in 1978 where you let us park our trailer on your land and offered your home to us while getting settled. Also when you drove to Hannibal, MO to pick us up after our car accident. I have so many fond memories and the last of when Allan stppped through Cedar Rapids and called and I got to see him. Will keep you in my prayers.

All of yhe memories that I have of Allan are of some kind of joke or laughing. My parents always talked so highly of him and how much they loved him. He always made a point to make you feel important and always acknowledged you when he saw you. I just know that he was looking for something to do, to be able to help, just as soon as his feet hit Glory. Gonna miss him for sure.

I have no memories before Allan was a part of my family. I do not remember my cousin, Sissy, before they were a couple, so he is my cousin, too. I grew up looking up to him, as he always had a smile on his face and went out of his way to treat people, especially his family, like they were extra special every day. Not just when things were going well for him, but every day. I never had one encounter with him without leaving feeling better about myself and feeling happier. As a teenager, I watched him with Sissy and dreamt that I would find a husband who loved me as much as he loved her. I watched him with his baby girl growing up, and would think to myself that he loved her as much as any father I had ever seen. I witnessed his kindness and willingness to help others without hesitation, especially my Aunt Bill. After Uncle Jr. passed away, I was comforted by the fact that Allan was so close by to help her. I have watched him love his grandson in the same way he did his own baby girl. I do not have a 'favorite' memory of him, as all of my memories of him are the same, which speaks volumes of his personality and character. I cannot imagine how hard this is going to be for Sissy Greeno Lynn and Summer Lynn Young and my heart breaks for them; but I do know that he has left them with so many priceless happy memories to fall back on, and he is looking down on them right now with that same love, waiting until they are reunited. I will miss him very much! ❤️

Allan will be missed tremendously by all that knew him. My heart goes out to you and just remember that God is here with you. He is not above you looking down on you. He is with you, before each step you take, beside you along the way. He will carry you through this season of your life. It will always be hard but it will get easier as time goes by. You have family and friends that are here with you as well. Whatever you and Summer should need please let us know. We know you would do the same for us. We love you.
