Herbert Dale Bennett, 79, of Jonesboro, entered in to rest, Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
Born March 20, 1937 in Emmett, Arkansas to Omer Herbert and Rose Mae Dougan Bennett, he was of the Methodist faith. Mr. Bennett was a 1955 graduate of Prescott High School, US Air Force Veteran, an Educator receiving degrees from Henderson State Teachers College-BSE, UCA-Masters in History and Economics, and U of A Administration. Education positions held
were in Benton, Delight, Assistant Principal in Cabot, Principal at Fairview Middle School and an educator at Camden Fairview. Herbert enjoyed traveling with Barbara, wood working, flying and enjoying his grandkids.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Barbara Gayle (Campbell) Bennett, daughters; Pamela Young (Joe Clay IV) of Jonesboro, Melissa Patrick and Shane Patrick of Springdale, Anita Reynolds (Chad) of Mayflower, Beth Daniels (Derek) of Jonesboro, grandchildren; Clay and Jay Patrick, Drew Daniels, Lauren Rose Reynolds, Lindsay Daniels, Ella Tate Perry, Justin Reynolds, Bennett Elizabeth Young, Joe Clay Young V, Bruce Perry and Sarah Reynolds, brother; Don Bennett (Nancy) of Graham, TX, sister; Linda Smith of Jonesboro.
There will be a private family committal, Saturday, January 7, 2017, at Baxter Memorial Gardens in Mtn. Home.
