MSGT Robert Bruce Stewart USAF Retired, age 82 of Marshall, Arkansas died on Wednesday, December 28th, 2016. He was born at home in Monte Vista, Colorado on August 12th, 1934 to Charles O. Stewart and Helen (Holderman) Stewart.
Upon graduation from Menlo-Atherton High School in California, he joined the United States Air Force where he served for 26 years and traveled the world making numerous friends. He retired to Marshall and worked for Walmart until retiring 17 years later. Robert loved to help people any way he could. He always kept the cowboy spirit learned as a child on the family ranch.
Robert is preceded in death by wife, Virginia Stewart, wife Jody Stewart and two sons, Ricky Libby and Randy Libby.
Survivors include his sister, Hazel Moon Okerstrom; wife, Angeles Perez Stewart; sons, Doug Libby, Scott Libby, Brian Libby and wife Helen, Steve Stewart, Jim Stewart, Bruce Stewart and fiancé, Annette Luman, Pat Mason and wife Missy and Luis Perez and wife Lulu; daughter, Adriana Velazquez and husband Cheke Dominguez; and many grandchildren, that Robert was very proud of.
Funeral services for Robert will be 2:00 PM Sunday, January 1st, 2017 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM preceding the service. Burial will be private.
I was saddened to see my step-dads passing. I wish I had known and attended the services. Stewey you will be dearly missed. I miss hearing him calling me bones and motor mouth. I was so sorry to hear of Stew's unexpected passing. We served together in Japan.We talk on the phone just a week ago. I considered him a close dear friend and will miss him. My deepest sympathy to the family and other friends.
