James Stacey, age 73 of Mt. Sherman, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016 at his residence. He was born May 9,1943 in Mt. Sherman, the son of Silas Devo Stacey and Anna Louise (Kilgore) Stacey. He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Ava James Stacey and brother, Danny Stacey.

James was a lifelong resident of Newton County. He liked playing and going to ballgames with friends and family, especially the Arkansas Razorbacks. James liked Blue Grass Gospel music along with all varieties of gospel music. Until his retirement James worked at Flexsteel for 43 years.

James is survived by his wife Delores Ann, of the home; three sons: Michael James Stacey, of Jasper, Arkansas, Monty Bond, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Richie Bond, of Jasper; a daughter: Robbin Wofford, of Harrison, Arkansas, two sisters: Gwen Gobel, of Rogers, Arkansas and Sandy Dodson, of Harrison; a brother, Brad Stacey, of Lewiston, Maine; three grandchildren Chris, Justin and Amber Crabtree; six great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral service was Friday, December 30, 2016, at the Mt. Sherman Community Center, Mt. Sherman, Arkansas with Brother Raymond White officiating with interment in Mt Sherman Cemetery.

Visitation was Thursday, December 29, 2016, at the Mt. Sherman Community Center.

Pallbearers were, Jamie Shaub, Justin Crabtree, Joe Thomas, Roger Wofford, Nicholas Fondren and Michael Stacey.

Honorary Pallbearers were Chris Crabtree and Chris Kilgore.

When I say so simple: " I miss you. " Then I mean: I miss your Laught, your voice that I immediately feel in love with, Your hands, your breath, your beautiful smile. I miss you so much that I´m afraid my heart will break.
Iam telling this above all so as not to forget you. Because it is so sad to forget a good friend because you loved one very much. We would have been friends for 49 years of our life all had. experienced many higher and even more lowes toghter. But I was happy to see that you still found happiness. I know how much you loved Antigoni. Give your brother Louie a kiss too. We miss him as well. We three uf us had so much fun togher. I miss you so much.
