Donald Gene Lee, 77, of Clarksville, Arkansas, was born November 15, 1939, at Onia, Arkansas to Willis and Elma Harness Lee. Donald went to be with the Lord on December 15, 2016. He passed away at home with his family by his side.

Donald was a lifelong member of the Bethany Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of Onia, Arkansas, and was ordained as a deacon of the church on September 7, 1968.

Donald was survived by his wife, Evalee Roper of 55 years of the home and two children, Donald G. Lee, Jr., of Clarksville, Arkansas and Nancy Rochelle and husband James Wilkerson of Clarksville, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Cooper Lee of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Ashley Nicole and husband Miguel Lopez of Ozark, Arkansas, and McCoy Wilkerson and wife Britney of Clarksville, Arkansas, and one great-granddaughter, Maleah Rose Lopez of Ozark, Arkansas.

Donald was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and two brothers, Paul Dean Lee and Ronnie D. Lee, and one great-niece, Payton Mckenzie Williams.

Donald graduated from Timbo High School in 1956, earned his BSE degree from UCA in Conway in 1962, and a Master's degree in Diagnostic Reading also from UCA in 1971. In 1975 he finished his Educational Specialist degree in Superintendency from ASU in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Donald was a school teacher for 12 years and a Superintendent for 19 years making a total of 31 years service in the State of Arkansas Public School System.

Donald's hobbies were hunting, fishing, gardening, reading and flea marketing. In his later years he loved to sit on the front porch of their cabin at Harmony, Arkansas and watch for deer to wander through the yard.

Visitation will be held at Roller Coffman Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Bethany Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Onia, Arkansas on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 2:00 PM.
