Thursa Mariott Teague of Mountain View, Arkansas died peacefully at her home Wednesday, December 14, 2016 after a long illness. She was born in Stone County near Alco, Arkansas on January 14, 1933. She was the daughter of John and Alta (Clark) Mariott. She went to school at Big Flat, Arkansas and graduated in 1953. After working away she came home and married Jack Teague and helped her husband in the construction business. Thursa loved to attend church at Flatwoods Baptist, and she loved her church family. Her hobbies were shopping at the malls in Little Rock and Memphis, she loved cooking and keeping her place looking nice.

Thursa is survived by three brothers, Harold, Leon, and Jimmy Mariott all of Mountain View, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Pat Pierce and husband Steve of Maumelle, Arkansas; one nephew Benny Passmore and wife Patty of Mountain Home, Arkansas; one niece, Sharon Tiner and husband William of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and several great-nieces and nephews.

Thursa was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Teague; father and mother, John and Alta Clark Mariott; one sister and brother-in-law, Maxine and husband Lolen Passmore of Calico Rock, Arkansas; one sister-in-law, June Andress of Cabot, Arkansas.

Graveside services will take place on Friday, December 16, 2016, 2:00PM at Flatwoods Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas with Brother Joe Morell and Brother Maxie Haynes officiating. Interment will follow the graveside service.
