Vicki L. (Farris) Stripling

of Little Rock, AR

September 13, 1973 - December 11, 2016

Vicki L. (Farris) Stripling departed this earth December 11, 2016. She was 43 years old. Vicki was born in the Landmark Community of Little Rock, Arkansas on September 13, 1973.

She is preceded in death by her father, Charles ''Chuck'' E. Farris Sr. and her brother Charles ''Chuck'' Farris Jr.

Left to celebrate her life and share her memories, her life partner Michelle Talley Lawson; her sweet mother Lowanna Fulton Farris of Little Rock; brother-in-law Kevin Talley of Harrison, Arkansas; mother-in-law Kathy Tally of Fort Smith; her extended family Kathy Bradley, Sara and Dave Caldwell and children; Magen Henderson and Jeremy Atwood and children; and Chris Burgunder, all of Little Rock.

Vicki was raised in the Landmark Community and graduated from Wilbur D. Mills High School. She was a member of Ironton Baptist Church. She, as a young woman, played softball for the Arch Street Angels, and loved the sport so much that she became a coach, then umpired for the City of Little Rock at Interstate Ball Park for many years.

Vicki was an avid sportsman. Her passion was hunting and fishing and looked forward to each and every coming season. From the deer woods to Lake Peckerwood, is where she would be. The line of friends and family to go fishing and hunting with Vicki was long. Those fortunate enough to share Vicki's passion will have memories to last a lifetime. Vicki loved her family and friends. Her over the top 4th of July gatherings were highly anticipated each year. Everyone knew the firework display would be phenomenal. Her fish fries, and cook-outs were always fun filled and kid friendly. She always brought her friends and family together to share love and laughter.

Vicki worked at UAMS and enjoyed her job interacting with co-workers and visitors. She had many friends and most were instantaneous upon meeting her. When she was diagnosed with cancer, she did not give up. After medically retiring, she and life partner, Michelle traveled together to many places checking off her bucket list. They built memories to last a lifetime. Vicki taught us many things, but mostly about love and friendship.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 15, 2016 in the Roller-Drummond Funeral Home Chapel, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Arkansas 72209 (501) 455-5800. Visitation will be at 2:00 p.m., prior to the service.
