Joseph "Joey" Edward Turner, Jr.

of Tull, AR

January 8, 1958 - December 2, 2016

Joseph ''Joey'' Edward Turner, Jr., age 58, of Tull, the friend you could depend on, the expert storyteller, always making you laugh, the love of Charlotte's life, Dustin's best friend, and Caleb's Paw Paw, entered eternal life Friday, December 2, 2016 and took a ride down Heaven's Trail.

Joey was born January 8, 1958. He was a hard worker and a ''jack of all trades'' having worked construction to hauling heavy equipment. He was genuinely an amazing man and a loyal, dependable friend who would always help anyone and everyone in need. Everyone respected and loved him. He was always smiling and oh how he loved to laugh. Joey was always telling a story and could make you feel better when you were feeling your worst.

On June 10, 1977, he married his high school sweetheart Charlotte (Davis) Turner and shared a love for 39 years that the rest of us could only hope for. Joey was a man of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ's love. He was absolutely devoted to his wife and son. He was always involved in Dustin's life, he was his best friend. Both loving the outdoors, they did everything together. Hunting, fishing, or riding four wheelers was where these two could usually be found. When Joey's grandson Caleb was born, there could not have been a more proud Paw Paw. Caleb was his lil buddy and the sparkle in his eye. His passing came too soon. Joey will always be in our thoughts and forever in our hearts.

He is reunited in Heaven with his mother Ethel Tull, father Joseph Tuner, Sr., father-in-law L.A. Davis, brother-in-law Tim Davis, and great nephew Boston Lampkin.

His spirit is carried on by his beautiful and loving wife Charlotte Turner of Tull, his son Dustin Turner and wife Leslie, and grandson Caleb, all of Tull; his dad Doyle Tull of Tull; his uncle Will D. Maness; mother-in-law Louise Davis of Bauxite; two sister-in-law's, JoAnn Lambert and husband Derek of Bauxite, and Shelly Davis of Bauxite; nieces and nephews, along with many, many friends.

Visitation will be at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (501-315-4047) Wednesday, December 7 from 6-8 p.m. and the funeral will be Thursday 10 a.m. at Roller-Ballard with burial to follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Tull.

The pallbearers are Nick Burton, Jarrett Duvall, Bo Gould, Robert Scudder, Woody Scudder, and ''Turtle'' Mac Dempsey.

I didn't know Joey personally, but I admired him from a distance in school. He had a kind, gentle nature and the best of smiles. I am very sorry for your loss.

Charlotte, Dustin and family. I am so sorry for your loss. I remember when Joey moved to Tull and how much I liked him then and still like him this day. He was a very kind man who would give you the shirt off his back or his last can of gasoline if you ran out. Always there to help you out if you needed it. I know what a void this is going to leave in your lives. My love and prayers are with y'all.
